Annual Silent Peace Walk

Event Details

The Silent Vigil draws parallels between the WWII forced removal of Japanese Americans to incarceration camps and what is currently happening to Muslim and immigrant communities in NYC and across the US today. We encourage you to wear 1940’s style clothing and will be gathering at the South Plaza of Union Square and the route will follow the park.

Organized by NY Day of Remembrance Committee, and co-sponsored by local organizations, including JACL-NY.
